Summer's here! You know what that means right? It's time to train harder and push yourself!

We all want to look great during the summer and enjoy patio season, so it's important to make sure you're training consistently. Challenge yourself during your workouts by giving yourself mini goals. Squat deeper, jump higher, or punch harder, and make your movements explosive! If you can do 10 sprawls in 1 minute, aim to do 15. Running to Rocky Point Pier and back? Try to beat your best time. Or, ask us about personal training sessions. Make sure to tell us your goals. We want to support you and celebrate your achievements!

The 2x/Day Challenge is going strong! We're proud of all of the Gibson Soldiers that are participating. The challenge board in the Personal Training area is shining with all of the stars on it. We're in the last week of the challenge now so try to come in as much as possible! Remember, the 2 Gibson Soldiers that haved trained the most during this past month win prizes!

On June 21st, Howie and Matt will be fighting in Bellingham, WA. They've been training hard and we're excited to see them go to war in the ring! Come down and support the team if you can!

Rank Tests will be held the week of July 14th. Make sure you're coming in and training Gibson Soldiers. It's time to hone those skills and push yourselves!

Gibson Health Tip: After a workout, your energy levels are depleted, elevate them again with our new tropical protein shake with either Whey or Vegetarian protein - the Jamaican Punch! It's delicious, nutritious, and packs a powerful punch!

The weather is getting brighter and hotter and that can only mean one thing in Port Moody: Summer’s around the corner! This means that it's time to challenge yourself!

We always want to see our students strive to challenge themselves on a daily basis as challenges help us to grow and improve. Challenges provide us with opportunities to overcome fears, accomplish goals, and surprise ourselves.

This month we have challenged our Gibson Soldiers to train 2x/Day!

19 students from both the mens and ladies classes have accepted this challenge and we are excited to see which 2 Gibson Soldiers win the prizes for training the most during this next month!

Gibson MMA fight camps are under way for 3 of our Gibson Soldiers: Marko, Matt, and Howie. We’re looking forward to seeing them dominate in the ring on June 21st!

Rank Tests are fast approaching and will be held mid-July. For many our students this next month and a half will be a great opportunity to focus on and hone your skills.

Gibson Health Tip: Your body is in recovery mode after your workout. Make sure to eat foods rich in nutrients within 30 minutes of your workout. Try a wrap, chicken bowl, salad, or protein shake after your next class.

Julia Budd v Charmaine Tweet

It's been a busy couple months for Gibson MMA. In December Julia Gibson fought and won at Invicta 7 in Kansas City against Charmaine Tweet. In march we had students of all ages and skill levels compete at the tiger balms in north Vancouver. And in April we had Marko Sabo fight and win a unanimous decision in Tacoma. It was Marko's first time stepping back into the ring in over 2 years and he displayed crisp Muay Thai skills and showed his true warrior spirit.

We also have expanded the Gibson MMA health bar and have welcomed new staff members to our growing health and wellness facility.

Heading into the summer we will be looking forward to rank tests for the Gibson MMA youth in June, Grappling tournaments, and More fight camps for our Gibson MMA fight team.
